Support to National Forums
The encouragement of actions of political incidence and the strengthening of civil society is essential in order to reaffirm the democratic principles for the realization of the right to education. This principle guides the actions of support to the national forums coordinated by CLADE regionally. Learn about these initiatives:
Regional Fund of the Civil Society for Education (FRESCE)
The Regional Fund of the Civil Society for Education (FRESCE) aims to support the National Forums on Education in Latin America and the Caribbean through its action of incidence for the effective implementation of the Dakar Action Framework and for the full compliance to the right to education for all people. Currently, the Fund provides resources for 17 national coalitions in the region, strengthening its capacity for dialogue and pressure on the governments through their activities of institutional development and activities of incidence.
The resources, managed by ActionAid Americas and Ayuda en Acción, comes from the Fast Track Initiative (Iniciativa Vía Rápida: FTI) and the Spanish Agency of Cooperation for Development (Agencia Española de Cooperación para el Desarrollo: AECID). FRESCE’s Deliberative Council is responsible for the political guidelines funds, promoted by the Global Campaign for Education.

Real World Stategy (RWS)
The Real World Strategy provided resources to support the active participation of the civil society of Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia in action of political incidence between the years 2008 and 2010. The PIP contributed to the significant changes made in educational politics; for progress in the realization of the goals and objectives of the Education for All, and promoted the coordination of Sur-Sur and the strengthening of strategies towards a model of development based on human rights.
In Latin-America and the Caribbean, the project had successes in the struggle for: free education for all people, non-discrimination in educational contexts, and the strengthening of the civil society as an essential participant in the formulation processes and the monitoring of educational politics, in many cases, with direct incidence on the national Constitutions.
Currently, the RWS is undergoing a period of evaluation.
