Campaña Latinoamericana por el Derecho a la Educación

The Civil Society Advocacy for Education (ICE, by its Spanish acronym) in Mexico and the Latin American Campaign for the Right to Education (CLADE, by its Spanish acronym) strongly reject and condemn the repression and abusive use of force by the Mexican government against members of the National Coordination of Education Workers (CNTE, by its Spanish acronym), which took place on Sunday 19th. June in Nochixtlán, Oaxaca.

The VII Assembly of the Latin American Campaign for the Right to Education (CLADE): “Social Struggles, Human Rights and Education:  Towards Stronger Democracies and Active Citizenship in Latin America and the Caribbean”, hereby reaffirms that the right to education can only be possible in a context of strengthened democracy and active citizenship.

The VI Assembly of the Latin American Campaign for the Right to Education (CLADE): “Education is a human right: No to discrimination in Latin America and the Caribbean”, hereby expresses its commitment to the right to education (in Spanish).
